Hauptbild des Frankfurt 2025

Opening remarks by Sebastian Reggentin (press spokesperson for CSD Frankfurt e.V.)

Off to new shores...

“Nothing ventured, nothing gained,” “You make your own luck,” or simply: Try something new!

That's exactly what we thought this year when we decided to move to the banks of the Main River, even though the decision wasn't easy and there are many good reasons for and against the move.

However, the decision was carefully considered this year and has one wonderful and unbeatable argument in its favor:

The CSD in Frankfurt is growing! This is one of the few pieces of good news that we at CSD Frankfurt e.V. can counter the many, sometimes very frightening and angering news stories from around the world. In recent years, we have received increasing support from all of you, which we see as an indication of the direction we are taking and the work we are doing. We want to continue on this path, with more space, more greenery, and more ideas that we can now realize. You can find more details here in this small and informative program booklet, which we have put together with a lot of love.

In a world where our community, especially the trans* community and those who are multiply discriminated against and therefore particularly affected within our large and colorful scene, are intimidated, silenced, and pushed to the margins of society by hateful and discriminatory laws, comments, and crimes, silenced and pushed to the margins of society, it is our particular concern and duty to create as large and, above all, as appropriate a safe space as possible where everyone can and is allowed to feel comfortable.

We are growing, and we will not allow ourselves to be pushed out of the heart of Europe, and we certainly will not flee. We are now located not far from the Eiserner Steg, where the locks attached by loving people are an unmistakable and eternal example of the fact that love is the strongest force.

The Paulskirche, where the history of German democracy began, is also in the immediate vicinity. We couldn't be more central, and we believe that there is hardly a better place in Frankfurt to come together for what we all stand for at our core: democracy, human rights, and love!

No matter which side of the fence we come from or where we stand.

The entire CSD Frankfurt e.V., its organizing team, the artists on stage, the hosts, and everyone else involved are looking forward to seeing you!

Happy Pride

NEW in 2025: Family Area

During the street festival:

Note: The toilets in the Young/Historical Museum, including baby changing facilities, may be used. Additional baby changing facilities can be found in the toilet trailer at the Diversity Bazaar.

During the demonstration:

We will create a quiet area for families at the front of the demonstration, before the trucks arrive, where there will be no loud music or exhaust fumes. This way, you can walk along with the demonstration and enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. The early start also means you won't have to wait long (in the sun, in the worst case) for the demonstration to begin. The start is directly after the rally at 12:30 p.m. All families should line up on Braubachstraße, approximately at house number 35. There will also be a very long rainbow flag, which will “open” the family area of the demonstration, followed by the AIDS charity/rainbow crew and the bicycle taxis for our participants with disabilities. After that, the trucks and cars will start to line up, so it is very important that you make sure you are in position in good time. As this situation is also new for us, we ask for your understanding that after the rally we will only be able to try to direct the crowds.

Historisches Museum Frankfurt I Junges Museum Frankfurt

Celebrate diversity – discover history. On CSD Sunday, the Frankfurt Historical Museum and the Young Museum are opening their doors to families: children and adults in the family area get in free.

The Young Museum's current exhibition, “Children Have Rights!” invites you to join children in thinking about their rights, discussing them, and learning new things.

Frankfurt Historical Museum, Saalhof 1, 60311 Frankfurt am Main

Jugend- und Chillout Area

At CSD Frankfurt, we are creating a lively retreat for young queer people with the youth and chillout area. Here you can relax, recharge your batteries, and make valuable new contacts.

The youth area is designed “by you, for you” and, above all, by you, and is available to you during the opening hours of the street festival!

Use the space however you like: If you feel like it, you can get creative –

the youth area offers:

stickers, materials for making demo signs, a button maker, and an interactive selfie wall with colorful props. If you just want to take a break, freshen up, and charge your phone, you are just as welcome! The offer is primarily aimed at people between the ages of 14 and 22. For younger visitors and families, there is the family and children's area.

Barrierefreiheit

During the queer street festival:

The entire square, including the nearby Dom/Römer and Römer/Paulskirche stops, as well as the subway and tram stops at Willy-Brandt-Platz, is barrier-free. In addition to wheelchair-accessible cable bridges, we provide a stage pit reserved for wheelchair users for a direct and immediate stage experience. From there, you also have unrestricted access to a place to retreat. For the deaf, the program on the main stage is translated by sign language interpreters. At the dance stage, you can simply let yourself be carried away by the bass. Toilets are located on the grounds to the right of the main stage on Untermainkai, near St. Leonhard Church, at the “Basar der Vielfalt” (Bazaar of Diversity), and near the dance stage.

Talk to us. The team at the information stand at the Basar der Vielfalt will be happy to help you and put you in touch with our “Helping Hands.”

During the rally:

Join us for the rally. A wheelchair-accessible toilet will be available during the event directly in front of the stairs of the Historisches Museum/Junges Museum.

During the demonstration:

The demonstration will take place on public streets and squares. We cannot always guarantee complete accessibility there. There are no mobile toilets along the demonstration route, so we recommend that you find a place near a shop with accessible toilets or stay close to the street festival.

For the demonstration, we offer velotaxis (bicycle taxis) for people with walking disabilities who do not use wheelchairs, as well as for visually impaired people and anyone else who needs them. Please let us know in advance and register your needs using the contact form on our website (keyword: accessibility).

www.csd-frankurt.de/kontakt/

Our team and our stewards will be happy to help you wherever possible.

Awareness

Be kind to one another. Always treat each other with respect and tolerance.

With our program, we are sending a strong message of presence and activism at this year's CSD street festival. We are there to support those affected by boundary violations as trustworthy contacts and to offer a safe haven in times of conflict.

“Awareness” means being conscious and informed. We do not tolerate racism, xenophobia, sexism, misogyny, classism, queerphobic, nationalist, anti-Semitic, anti-democratic, anti-emancipatory, and anti-Gypsy ideologies, hostility toward people with disabilities, right-wing agitation, or other forms of group-focused enmity.

You can find our Awareness Point to the right of the main stage, where we also offer access to a retreat tent, as well as at the Diversity Bazaar next to the CSD Frankfurt e.V. information stand, coming from Römerberg. We also have mobile awareness teams at the street festival and the Diversity Bazaar to help you if you are not feeling well or if you experience discrimination or boundary violations.

Our ultimate goal is for you to feel comfortable at CSD Frankfurt. We are here for you if you experience harassment, discrimination, or any kind of inappropriate behavior. In addition, our team also offers help with health problems, such as alcohol or drug use, as well as support for any kind of discrimination.

NEW in 2025: Bike Area

For all visitors arriving by bike, we are offering secure bike parking for the first time. The service costs €2 per day and is located in front of the historic museum/corner of Saalhof, in the immediate vicinity of the event site. Security is provided until the end of each event day. Bikes can be picked up at any time.

Please note: For safety reasons, e-scooters and bicycles are not permitted on the entire festival grounds. We kindly ask all visitors to park their e-scooters and bicycles outside the grounds and to use the designated parking spaces. For all other cyclists, there are detours to bypass the festival grounds.

Open Air Kino

In cooperation with Edition Salzgeber, CSD Frankfurt presents:

WHAT A FEELING

On her wedding day, Marie Theres, a doctor from Vienna, receives a special gift from her husband: he wants to separate from her! To calm her nerves, Marie Theres reaches for a drink. Quite drunk, she stumbles into Bigi's lesbian bar and continues drinking with Fa, a regular customer who is afraid of commitment. The next morning, all she can remember is that Fa took her home. But did they also... ? In any case, she can't get the exciting woman out of her head. A stormy romance ensues, sweeping along even Marie Theres's stuffy circle of friends and Fa's Persian mother.

In Kat Rohrer's warm-hearted lesbian rom-com “What a Feeling,” Caroline Peters and Proschat Madani shine as two women who only find each other in midlife—but then really find each other. It's about self-discovery, the courage to start over, and making decisions that feel right, no matter what others think or say. What a feeling!

Julia Wendel

Hired speaker, wedding officiant, radio personality, and podcaster. She will make your big day perfect. Bilingual or queer. You can currently hear her on “Liebt euch!” (Love each other!), the UNSER DING dating podcast. Julia is a loud, colorful, rarely shy rainbow grenade. She is appearing on stage for the third time at CSD Frankfurt, as well as for the drag lip sync battle “Jawbreaker” and several times for CSD in Mainz, Brühl, and soon also at the first CSD in Kaiserslautern.

Whether as a singer, presenter, or newcomer drag queen, Alessandro Uddin always cuts a fine figure. True to the motto: “We were born naked, the rest is drag.”

Let's get the party started!!!

Make a Move

With their striking stage presence and daring show, combined with an impressive live band, Make A Move are currently evolving from an insider tip to one of the most thrilling live acts in the country. Sometimes the brass section plays beautiful melodies that really touch the heart, while at other times the bass and drums deliver fat beats reminiscent of the darkest techno clubs. The overwhelming positivity is highly contagious and makes every concert an experience that resonates with the audience long after the show is over. Make A Move released their second studio album, “HOL MICH AB,” in the spring of 2025.

Amrick Channa

As a DJ, solo and in the duo “DontCanDJ,” she is known for her energetic house and electronic sets in cities such as Berlin, Munich, and Vienna. She is also involved in queer youth projects and offers workshops.

Frida Gold

Frida Gold – a name that evokes melodies. “Wovon sollen wir träumen” (What should we dream of), “Liebe ist meine Rebellion” (Love is my rebellion) – songs that have become part of German pop culture. Platinum, gold, big stages, tours through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

But more important than numbers and statistics is the response: music that doesn't fade because it strikes a chord. Now a new chapter is beginning for the band. “Neuer Tag” (New Day), released in February 2025, is not a break, but a gentle renewal. It's a song about healing, the courage to start over, and the art of staying true to yourself while changing. It's the first in a series of releases—songs, EPs, an album—and at the same time a commitment to artistic autonomy.

With the founding of their own label, “Haus aus Gold,” in collaboration with Kontor New Media, Frida Gold is betting on independence. Andi Weizel and Alina Süggeler come from the Ruhr region, an area that never clamors loudly for attention, but makes sure you stay. They don't want to explain the world, but keep it open – for all those who move between longing and reality.

Die Mainsirenen

The Mainsirenen have been enchanting audiences since 1987 with four-part a cappella singing featuring their own lyrics and arrangements or original compositions. Their concerts focus on gay life in all its facets, sometimes serious, sometimes funny, but always completely honest. High Heel Race - presented by IKK Südwest

The high heel race is one of the most entertaining events at CSD Frankfurt. On CSD Saturday, visitors compete in a sprint on high heels. It's not necessarily the case that female participants or those with drag experience are the fastest – it's all about technique! As in previous years, the race will take place at the Basar der Vielfalt (Bazaar of Diversity). As always, there will be great prizes for the three fastest participants. High heels can be borrowed on site, and advance registration is not necessary.

Meet at the START: IKK Südwest information stand

Destination: Stage for Art and Culture

Nico Alesi combines Italo pop with modern schlager. The Italian musical performer has performed on various stages, including TV shows. In 2024, he signed with the TELAMO label and is aiming to establish himself firmly in the Schlager scene. Nico embodies joie de vivre, charm, and emotional highlights.

Dagmar Diarrhoe

She's the one who falls short of all expectations. She's not perfect, but at least she's cheap. Whether it's a company party, a night out at the pub, or a wedding, Dagmar Diarrhoe shows up when everyone else has canceled. Charming and savvy, Frankfurt's first self-proclaimed “Dreck-Queen” (Queen of Filth) hosts Sunday afternoons on the cultural stage—but only in Hessian, of course!

Lars Wolos

Lars has been entertaining listeners of RadioSUB on Frankfurt's city radio station radio x for years, and on Sundays he'll also be entertaining you on the Art & Culture Stage. You can expect pop, rock, and lots of electronic music.

Queer Poetry Slam

In order to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors, the following rules apply throughout the event grounds:

Weapons ban: Carrying weapons or weapon-like objects is prohibited throughout the entire grounds.

Cannabis ban: The consumption and possession of cannabis is not permitted on the event grounds.

Glass ban: For environmental reasons and to prevent injuries from broken glass, glass bottles and other glass containers are not permitted. This serves to protect the green spaces along the Main River and helps to preserve the recreational value of the Main riverbank for all Frankfurt residents.

Smoke with consideration! The following also applies to smokers: please be mindful of your surroundings. Cigarette butts do not belong in nature, but in trash cans—because every carelessly discarded butt pollutes the soil, water, and green spaces. In cooperation with #cleanffm, we are offering a limited number of pocket ashtrays – small, practical, and reusable. Simply take one with you, use it, and dispose of it later.

Talk to the mobile teams from #cleanffm or visit us at our information stand at the Diversity Bazaar.

Let's work together to ensure that the banks of the Main remain clean and livable – for all Frankfurt residents and our environment.
