What does “Awareness” mean and why does the consciousness team exist?
With our program at this year's CSD street festival, we are sending a strong signal for presence and activity. We are there to support those affected by border crossings as a trustworthy point of contact and to offer a safe space in the event of conflicts.
Awareness means being aware and being informed. We do not tolerate racism, xenophobia, sexism, misogyny, classism, queer hostility, nationalist, anti-Semitic, anti-democratic, anti-migrant and antiziganism ideologies, hostility towards people with disabilities, right-wing hate speech and other forms of group-focused misanthropy.
You will find our Awareness Point to the right of the main stage, where we also offer access to a retreat tent. We will also be out and about with a mobile awareness team, recognizable by green armbands at the street festival and the Bazaar of diversity to help you if you are not feeling well or experience discrimination or border crossings.
Our primary goal is that you feel comfortable at CSD Frankfurt. We are there for you if you experience harassment, discrimination or any kind of abusive behavior. In addition, our team also offers help with health problems, for example due to alcohol or drug consumption, as well as support with any kind of discrimination.
Be nice to each other. Always treat each other with respect and tolerance.
Young people and children (under 18) can also relax in the youth and chill-out area at the Frankfurter Engel (art & culture stage).
